Warmer and feeling humid by the weekend
Dry weather for most places through midweek, but expect a strengthening easterly breeze. Becoming more unsettled toward the weekend as fronts push up from the south. Warm and humid air will trigger showers to form for a few days, some heavy and thundery bursts.

Thursday 4/5/23 A strong southeasterly breeze for all regions with high pressure to the north and low pressure to the southwest. A mostly dry day with hazy sunshine. Cool in northeastern Britain with some low cloud and drizzle possible near North Sea coasts. Warmer in the south. Rain developing from the south into Ireland, Wales and southwest England, becoming heavy and later extending further into central and southern England. Highs at 12 to 19C.
Friday 5/5/23 More mixed conditions overall with areas of rain pushing northwards through England into Scotland. Clusters of heavy showers breaking out across much of England, Wales and Ireland. Fairly cloudy, limited sun. Drier with some sunshine in northwest Scotland. Light winds in the south, an easterly breeze in the north. Humid in the south, fresher in the north. Highs ranging from 11 to 19C.
Saturday 6/5/23 Unsettled with areas of showers. Northeastern areas cool and cloudy with more persistent rain possible. Heavy showers for central and southern areas where it stays rather humid. Some drier windows with sunny spells which will feel warm. Highs at 12 to 20C.
Sunday 7/5/23 Mixed with showery rain for many places, these becoming most widespread by the afternoon, tracking north and eastwards with some thundery bursts for eastern counties toward early evening. Sunny spells in west and northwest Scotland. Winds fairly light. Highs at 14 to 19C.
Monday 8/5/23 Staying changeable as fronts attempt to push into Ireland from the west. Scattered showers over Britain, most widely by afternoon. South to southwesterly breezes. Highs 14 to 18C.
Tuesday 9/5/23 A slight shift of wind patterns sees westerlies more likely by this stage, so feeling fresher. Sunshine and varied cloud with scattered showers. Highs 13 to 17C.
