Dry for many, sunny spells but some cloud at times in the east

Staying dry for most of the week ahead with high pressure brings more fair weather. The best sunshine in the west with cloud at times in the east. Temperatures will be warmest in the west, but cooler in the east. An easterly wind at times in eastern and southern areas.

Tuesday 30/5/23
High pressure centred over the British Isles again on Tuesday. Another fair day ahead, but some morning mist patches in Scotland although these clearing quickly. The day is then dry and bright for all. A tendency for more cloud in central and eastern areas, the best sunshine in the north and west. A moderate east to northeast breeze in much of England. Highs at 17C in eastern England, widely 19 to 21C.

Wednesday 31/5/23
High pressure over Scotland on Wednesday. An easterly flow brings some broken cloud through central and eastern areas of England. This will break with sunny spells developing. The best sunshine in Scotland, western England, Wales and Ireland. Highs at 24C in parts of western Scotland, 22C in western England and Ireland but a cooler 18C on eastern coasts.

Thursday 1/6/23
The area of high pressure drifts north of Scotland on Thursday. Morning cloud is likely in many central and eastern areas, the best sunshine in the west. Dry in the afternoon with eastern claud breaking and some sunny spells developing. The best sunshine always in the west. Breezy in southern areas. Highs at 19 to 22C.

Friday 2/6/23
High pressure remains north of Scotland on Friday. However, there may well be more cloud in northern and eastern areas today and this brings the risk of some drizzle in the morning over eastern coasts. Western areas are likely to be brighter and dry with sunny spells. Highs at 21C in the sunnier west, 16C in the cloudier east.

Saturday 3/6/23
Pressure stays high on Saturday. A dry day with broken cloud in the eas. The best of the sunshine in western areas. Highs at 21C in western areas, a cooler 15C in the east.

Sunday 4/6/23
A risk of some cloud and patchy rain for many on Sunday. More cloud and some showers in Scotland. Highs at 14C in eastern areas, 21C in the west.
