Some warm sunshine, cool in the breeze

High pressure is never too far away though at times some showers and possible rain could affect some. Feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine, though an easterly wind may just bring more cloud to eastern areas through the week.

Tuesday 16/5/23
High pressure centres just to the west of Ireland on Tuesday allowing for many areas to stay dry and fine, though showers on a north to north-westerly wind some showers will push across northern and western areas, particularly the coasts and hills here. Highs at 12 to 17C.
 

Wednesday 17/5/23
High pressure extends across much of the country on Wednesday with broken cloud and warm sunshine for many, thouogh Atlantic fronts will bring thicker cloud and some patchy rain to western Scotland. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Thursday 18/5/23
High pressure over southern England and Wales brings dry and fine weather here, while Atlantic fronts bring more cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting Ireland, Northern Irrland and much of Scotland. Highs 14 to 19C.

Friday 19/5/23
More variable cloud cover today with thicker cloud in places through England into Wales bringing a higher risk of showery rain here. Drier and becoming progressively brighter across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs 14 to 19C.

Saturday 20/5/23
High pressure is likely to reside toward the north, with an easterly breeze across Britain. Sunshine best in the west, cloudier in the east. Highs 14 to 20C.

Sunday 21/5/23
High pressure still sits to the north of the country meaning a continued easterly wind and the risk of cloudier skies further east. Thicker cloud with the chance for some patchy rain across western Ireland and the far west of Scotland. Highs 15 to 20C.
