Wednesday 3/5/23
High pressure centred toward the north and east brings dry and bright weather for many with sunny spells, hazier toward the west with high cloud and cloudier in general for southern Scotland and much of Ireland and Northern Ireland where some patchy rain is expected. Light winds for many, but a fresh east to southeasterly breeze near the English Channel and southern Irish Sea. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Thursday 4/5/23
A stronger southeasterly breeze for all regions as high pressure centres north of Scotland and low pressure over the Atlantic drifts closer. Another mostly dry day though the risk of some patchy rain through northern and eastern Scotland. Cool in northeastern Britain. Showers becoming more persistent rain across southern Ireland and southwest England later and into the night. Highs at 11 to 19C.

Friday 5/5/23
More mixed conditions overall with areas of rain and showers pushing northwards across England and Wales. A little rain or drizzle for eastern Scotland. Fairly cloudy, limited sun. Best chance for sunshine in northwest Scotland. Light winds in the south, an easterly breeze in the north. Humid in the south, fresher in the north. Highs ranging from 11 to 18C.

Saturday 6/5/23
East to southeasterly breezes prevail, with areas of showers. Northeastern areas cool and cloudy with more persistent rain possible. Risk of local heavy showers in the south where it stays rather humid. Also sunny spells and dry periods about. Highs at 10 to 18C.

Sunday 7/5/23
Mixed with showery rain across the west and south, while further north stays largely dry with the best of the lasting sunny spells in west and northwest Scotland. Easterly breezes again. Cool near the North Sea. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Monday 8/5/23
High pressure is likely to reside around Scandinavia, whilst fronts attempt to push into Ireland from the west. Scattered showers over Britain, most widely by afternoon. South to southeasterly breezes. Highs 11 to 18C.
