Mixed though warming up, then largely dry next week

Mixed weather through the weekend with showers and longer spells of rain but warmer temperatures. Next week continues to look largely dry though low pressure in the Atlantic could bring the risk of showers for some later in the week. A warmer week for many.

Sunday 30/4/23
A higher risk of some showers and or longer spells of rain more widely on Sunday with only the southeast of England perhaps staying dry throughout the day. Rain in places in the north and west will be heavy at times, possibly thundery. Feeling warm where the sunny spells develop with highs at 11 to 18C.
 

Monday 1/5/23
Monday will start off on a cloudier note with some outbreaks of rain about, though as higher pressure attempts to build in across the country much of the cloud will thin with sunny spells developing and drier conditions expected, though always the risk of a few showers still. Highs at 10 to 19C.

Tuesday 2/5/23
High pressure looks to play a more dominant part in the weather by Tuesday with most staying dry and fine with developing sunny spells, though a few scattered showers in places cannot be ruled out. Highs at 10 to 18C, warmest further west.

Wednesday 3/5/23
A weak ridge of high pressure remains over the country on Wednesday. Broken cloud and some sunny spells in eastern areas. Cloudier in the west with a risk of some patchy rain in north and west Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 10 to 17C.

Thursday 4/5/23
The high pressure centres just to the east of Scotland pulling in a more prominant easterly wind flow. Mostly dry conditions are expected with sunny spells with the best of the warmth across western areas. Highs at 10 to 17C.

Friday 5/5/23
Friday sees mainly dry weather again with sunny spells, though with low pressure just to the west of Ireland there is a higher risk today of some showers and or longer spells of rain affecting Ireland, Wales and SW England. Highs at 10 to 18C.
