Mixed week with a cold start.

A mixed week with a cold start giving overnight frosts and the risk of snow in the north. Many staying dry before more substantial rain moves in later in the week. Current indications are for a largely dry and pleasantly warm following weekend.

Tuesday 25/4/23
A frosty start for many, particularly so in the north. A ridge of high pressure builds in on Tuesday bringing a largely dry day with plenty of sunny spells but feeling still cold. A few coastal showers, particularly through the morning, these largely fading out. Meanwhile, a front pushes cloud and outbreaks of rain in across southwest Ireland with building cloud through southwest England later. Highs at a cold 5C to 10C.

Wednesday 26/4/23
On Wednesay a weakened front will bring more cloud and patchy, mostly light, rain to southern and western areas of the UK and across Ireland, though expect also some developing sunny spells. Staying largely dry elsewhere. Highs at 12C in the south, 7C in the north.

Thursday 27/4/23
A dry start for most though an Atlantic pressure system moves in on to southwestern areas soon bringing increased cloud cover and the risk of some rain across south-western areas before becoming more widespread overnight. Feeling relatively milder today. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Friday 28/4/23
Friday will see outbreaks of rain gradually clear away from the west though there will be plenty of lingering cloud and still showery rain about even towards the end of the day. Highs at a cool 8 to 11C in the north and east, 12 to 16C further south and west.

Saturday 29/4/23
A largely dry day on Saturday with sunny spells, though likely for variable cloud cover and the risk of a shower or two. Highs at 12 to 15C.

Sunday 30/4/23
Sunday is another largely dry day with sunny spells, though a higher risk of some showers brushing far southern English counties and perhaps northwestern regions of Scotland. Highs at 13 to 16C.
