Unsettled this week, drier and warmer next.

Rain and heavy showers with strengthened winds to be expected through the rest of this week, before weather settles, becomes drier and warmer for many through next week.

Friday 14/4/23
A chilly start for some in the north. Another area of Atlantic low pressure moves in on Friday bringing plenty of cloud and rain to southern regions of Ireland as well as Wales and central and southern England. Meanwhile, a weaker area of low pressure over Scotland will see developing showers here. Highs at 9 to 13C.
 

Saturday 15/4/23
A ridge of high pressure builds on Saturday. Starting cold again for northern areas, most will be drier and brighter with sunny spells with temperatures rising nicely in the sun. Increasing cloud later in the west of Ireland with the risk of some rain through western regions here. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Sunday 16/4/23
Low pressure west of Ireland on Sunday while high pressure ridging across from the east should keep many dry, though on a southwest flow do expect some low cloud and some drizzle to western coasts and hills. A milder feeling day with highs at 12 to 16C.

Monday 17/4/23
A southwesterly wind on Monday will see again more cloud and some drizzle shrouding western and southern coasts and hills. Drier and brighter elsewhere with highs rising to feel warm in the sunshine. Highs at 14 to 17C.

Tuesday 18/4/23
High pressure over Scandinavia on Tuesday keeps the weather across the British Isles settled. Almost all will remain dry with sunshine about with highs at a warm 13 to 18C.

Wednesday 19/4/23
The wind may just pick up more on Wednesday though on a south to south-easterly wind flow it will feel again mild. A few showers could pester southern English counties, otherwise dry and fine for most. Highs at 13 to 17C.
