Mixed middle of the week then a better Easter weekend

Unsettled in the middle of this week with rain. It is likely top become drier at the end of the week and through the Easter weekend. There will then be good spells of sunshine and although milder it will still be chilly in the east. Turning more mixed again next week.

Thursday 6/4/23
A small area of low pressure develops over the country on Thursday. This brings cloud and periods of rain, most of it showery, but it could be heavy at times in eastern areas northern areas. Some heavier bursts of rain forming over central and southern areas before conditions then turn brighter from the west with sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 12C in the west, 13C in southeast England.

Good Friday 7/4/23
Cloud and some spots of rain in southeast England through Friday. A few showers in western Scotland too. Dry for most although with broken cloud and sunny spells. A risk of a shower in western and northern Wales too. Tops at 9 to 13C.

Saturday 8/4/23
A ridge of high pressure extends through the country on Saturday. Mostly cloudy in central and eastern areas, a risk of some patchy rain in the east. Drier for other areas with some sunny spells, the best in the west. Highs at 12 to 14C but 11C in the east.

Easter Sunday 9/4/23
Broken cloud and a few spots of showery rain in eastern areas on Sunday. Cloud and rain in Ireland and western Scotland. Drier in other areas with sunny spells. Tops at 12 to 14C.

Holiday Monday 10/4/23
A band of showery rain passing eastwards on Monday. Most of the rain will be light, but some heavier bursts over high ground in the west. Turning brighter and drier from the west with scattered showers. Tops near 10 to 14C.

Tuesday 11/4/23
Starting fair but then a further band of showery rain passing east through the British Isles during the day. Turning fair in the west with sunny spels, although still further showers in northern Scotland. Tops at 11 to 14C.
