Wet, windy and cool this week. Better into next week.

An unsettled week of weather coming up with frequent rain and showers, strengthened winds and only brief dry interludes. Feeling cool on many days too. By the weekend a settling down is expected with next week looking drier and warmer.

Thursday 13/4/23
Low pressure stays in the North Sea on Thursday. A day of sunny spells and showers, some of these again merging into longer spells of rain. Most of the showers in southern Scotland, northern England and southwest England. Tops at 8 to 13C.

 
 
 

Friday 14/4/23
Low pressure remains in control on Friday. A cold start for many then another unsettled day with rain in the south of the UK, some of it heavy. Possibly brighter in northern areas although showers developing. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Saturday 15/4/23
A ridge of high pressure builds on Saturday. Starting cold again then most areas will be drier and brighter with sunny spells with temperatures rising nicely in the sun. Increasing cloud later in the west of Ireland with the risk of some rain here. Highs at 10 to 14C.

Sunday 16/4/23
Low pressure west of Ireland on Sunday. A southwest flow develops through the British Isles bringing low cloud and some drizzle to western coasts and hills. Elsewhere mostly dry with sunny spells and feeling mild. A strong southwest wind in the west and north. Highs at 12 to 15C.

Monday 17/4/23
A southwesterly wind on Monday will see again more cloud and some drizzle shrouding western and southern coasts and hills. Drier and brighter elsewhere with highs rising to feel warm in the sunshine. Windy across far western areas keeping it feeling cooler here. Highs at 14 to 17C.

Tuesday 18/4/23
A windy though dry day on Tuesday with high pressure over Scandinavia keeping weather largely settled. Sunshine about, best further west where it will be feeling warmest. Highs at 13 to 17C.
