Lots of dry weather, feeling warm, sunny spells

High pressure is set to be in control of conditions through the coming week. This is going to be giving lots of dry weather but plenty of sunshine too. More cloud may affect northwest Scotland with some spots of drizzle here at times. Temperatures becoming warmer overall.

Monday 22/5/23
A weak cold front edging through Scotland and Ireland on Monday. This gives cloud and a few spots of rain, mostly over hills. Brighter in northwest Scotland with some sunny spells here. Brighter and dry in other areas under high pressure with plenty of sunshine. Breezy again in East Anglia and southeast England and feeling chilly here. Highs at 21C in the sunshine in central areas, 16C over the coasts of eastern England, 11C in northwest Scotland.

Tuesday 23/5/23
High pressure stays over the British Isles on Tuesday. This brings plenty of dry weather and some good spells of sunshine. More cloud in northwest Scotland with a few spots of drizzle. Highs at 14C in northwest Scotland, 16 to 19C for most.

Wednesday 24/5/23
A front passing east through Scotland and Ireland on Wednesday. There will be some outbreaks of rain here as the front moves through. Dry for most other areas with broken cloud and sunny spells. Highs at 21C in England and Wales, 10C in northwest Scotland.

Thursday 25/5/23
Fronts passing through Scotland bringing cloud and patchy rain in northern and western Scotland. Dry for other areas under high pressure and some good spells of sunshine too. Highs at 12C in northwest Scotland, 17 to 20C elsewhere.

Friday 26/5/23
Pressure remains high through the country on Friday. There will be good spells of sunshine and it should stay dry. Some cloud in northwest Scotland. Highs at 16 to 20C.

Saturday 27/5/23
High pressure remains on Saturday. Sunny spells and dry weather for many. Always more cloud in northwest Scotland with a few spots of rain here. Tops at 17 to 21C.
