Mixed weekend then showers next week

A mixed Coronation weekend with showers as well as longer spells of rain, though many will be warm and humid. Rain and showers continue into next week though a drier end to the week is currently expected.

A frontal zone of rain clears from the west during Monday morning with sunny spells and showers pulling in on a westerly wind flow behind. These showers likely to be heavy and frequent in the west. Highs 15 to 20C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 9/5/23
A day of sunny spells and showers, these showers likely to be again frequent and heavy across western areas. Longer spells of rain and a strengthening wind develop across Northern Ireland later. Highs 12 to 18C.

 
 
 

Wednesday 10/5/23
Wednesday sees low presure circulate over Scotland while the Azores high pressure attempts to ridge in across the southwest. Another day of sunny spells and showers, longer spells of rain across western into central regions of Scotland. Largely dry through eastern areas. Fresher feeling day with highs at 11 to 17C.
 

Thursday 11/5/23
After a chillier start than of late a ridge of higher pressure attempts to build in on Thursday, allowing for any showers about to gradually ease back, particularly across northern and western areas with sunny spells developing. Showers likely to continue through central and eastern England. Highs at 11 to 16C.

Friday 12/5/23
A largely dry and fine day on Friday thanks to high prerssure here, though cloud will build with outbreaks of rain moving in through Northern Ireland and Scotland. Highs at 13 to 18C.

Saturday 13/5/23
A cloudy and wet day across much of the north and into western areas of the UK, while central and southeast England remains dry and fine. Highs at 12 to 19C.
