Breezy and changeable with rain and showers, milder temperatures overall

The mixed weather continues in through the coming week. There will be periods of rain, although temperatures probably getting milder into next week. Winds increasing too with a risk of gales, especially in the west.

Saturday 7/3/20
A cool start to Saturday morning as a ridge of high pressure affects the UK. Increasing wind and cloud will be pushing rain into Ireland quickly in the morning. The UK should stay dry with sunny spells although cloud will be increasing from the west into the afternoon and the winds will be picking up as well. Rain into Western Scotland by mid afternoon may become heavier. Western coast of Wales and England will see increasing amounts of low cloud and drizzle by the end of the day. Staying dry more inland areas. A milder day, after a cool start, with temperatures at 7 to 10C by the evening.


Sunday 8/3/20
A front clears eastwards on Sunday morning. This leaves breezy conditions with a mix of sunshine and showers following from the west. A few of the showers could be heavy, especially on western coasts and hills. Highs at 6 to 8C.

 
 
 


Monday 9/3/20
Another mixed day as fronts bring rain and stronger winds from the west. Turning considerably milder in the south too. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 10C in southern England.

 
 
 


Tuesday 10/3/20
Low pressure to the north and higher pressure to the south on Tuesday. There will be rain through Ireland and parts of England and Wales. Drizzle and low cloud over western and southern coasts and hills. Cooler and brighter in Scotland where a few showers affect northern and western areas. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.


Wednesday 11/3/20
Breezy again on Wednesday. Pressure stays higher to the south and lower to the north. Some rain and drizzle over western coasts and hills but drier in the east. Drier too on southern coasts. Tops at 8 to 12C.

Thursday 12/3/20
A westerly flow through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Cud and some rain affecting western Scotland, some drizzle on western coasts of Wales and southwest England. Drier in the east. Highs at 9 to 13C.
