Temperatures feeling milder by the weekend with sunny spells, some rain next week

Temperatures are likely to be rising into this weekend and next week. Conditions become more mixed with some outbreaks of showery rain. Some drier days with sunny spells too.

Friday 3/4/20
Higher pressure on Friday, centred to the south of the country. There will be broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. Thicker cloud in western Scotland and southwest England where weak fronts will give some outbreaks of rain. Heavier showers in western parts of Scotland but dry to the east. Highs around a cool 5 to 8C in Scotland and northern England, 12C in southern England.

Saturday 4/4/20
Higher pressure stays east of the UK again on Saturday. Cloudier skies to the west bringing some outbreaks of rain here. Dry for most other areas, although more cloud than recently. Always the threat of some drizzle on western coasts and hills. Brighter in the east. Highs at 9 to 13C.
 

Sunday 5/4/20
High pressure to the east, lower pressure to the west on Sunday. Drizzle in western Ireland and western Scotland. Drier over the east of Ireland, Wales, England and the rest of Scotland with some brighter spells. Always the risk of some low cloud and drizzle on western coasts and hills. Highs at 18C in eastern areas, 12 to 14C in the west.
 

Monday 6/4/20
Low pressure will be bringing periods of rain eastwards on Monday. Most of the rain will be in western areas. Becoming brighter here later too. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.

Tuesday 7/4/20
Higher pressure on Tuesday brings a mostly dry day. Sunny spells and broken cloud for most. A few showers in southeast England. Highs at 8 to 13C.

Wednesday 8/4/20
The risk of some rain passing eastwards across all areas on Wednesday, followed by sunny spells and drier weather from the west. Highs at 10 to 14C.
