Feeling very cold in the wind, especially the south and east, some wintry showers

A colder period ahead through this weekend and into next weekend. The northeast wind will be strong at times bringing a risk of some showers to the east. There will be some frosty nights i the west, and a signficant wind-chill affecting many areas, but especially the east. Tending to remain cold later in the week, but becoming more mixed.

Monday 30/3/20
Scattered showers into the east on Monday, blowing in on the north to northeast wind and making it feel cold. Most of the showers over East Anglia and southeast England. Drier in the west with sunny spells. Ireland will also have plenty of sunshine and it will be staying sunny here as well. Highs near 7 to 9C for most but 12C in Ireland.

Tuesday 31/3/20
High pressure just to the west of Ireland on Tuesday. There will be some broken cloud through England and Wales. Some showers in central and eastern areas, most of them light. Brighter in much of Scotland and Ireland, but broken cloud here too. High at 7 to 10C.
 

Wednesday 1/4/20
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Wednesday. A strong, westerly flow in northern and western Scotland, frequent showers here, some of them heavy. Drier and brighter to the south and east, best of the sunshine in southern areas. Highs at 8 to 11C.

 
 
 

Thursday 2/4/20
Low pressure east of Scotland on Thursday. A brisk northwest wind affects Scotland and Northern Ireland. Heavy showers in northern and western Scotland, these turning wintry on hills. Further south it should be dry with sunny spells and broken cloud. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.

Friday 3/4/20
The northwest flow persists on Friday, low pressure to the east. Showers in the north and west, these wintry at times on hills. Drier to the south and east with some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 3C in northern Scotland, 8C in southern England.

Saturday 4/4/20
Conditions may become more mixed on Saturday with showers for many areas. The showers could be heavy and wintry, especially in the north. Highs at 4 to 7C.
