Breezy and changeable with rain and showers, milder temperatures overall

Mixed weather conditions continue through the coming week. There will be periods of rain, although temperatures probably getting milder into next week. Winds increasing again too with a risk of gales, especially in the west.

Sunday 08/03/20
A front clears eastwards on Sunday morning. This leaves breezy conditions with a mix of sunshine and showers following from the west. A few of the showers could be heavy, especially on western coasts and hills. Highs at 6 to 11C.
 

Monday 09/03/20
Another mixed day as fronts bring rain and stronger winds from the west. Turning considerably milder in the south too. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 13C in southern England.

 
 
 

Tuesday 10/03/20
Low pressure to the north and higher pressure to the south on Tuesday. There will be rain through Ireland and parts of England and Wales. Drizzle and low cloud over western coasts and hills. Cooler and brighter in Scotland where a few showers affect northern and western areas. Highs at 6C to 14C.
 

Wednesday 11/03/20
Breezy again on Wednesday. Pressure stays higher to the south and lower to the north. Some rain and drizzle over western coasts and hills and showers spreading eastward. Drier in the southeast and on southern coasts. Highs at 3 to 11C.

Thursday 12/03/20
A westerly flow through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. Cloud and some rain affecting western Scotland, some drizzle on western coasts of Wales and southwest England. Drier in the east. High temperatures at 3 to 9C.

Friday 13/03/20
A mixed day on Friday as low pressure to the northwest sends fronts across the country. Strong winds and outbreaks of rain affect many. Perhaps staying drier to the far southeast and south. Highs of 5 to 10C.
