Monday 04/01/21
High pressure to the north of the UK and low pressure to the south on Monday maintains an easterly flow. A low pressure system may bring an area of patchy rain, sleet and snow accompanied by slightly more brisk winds across southern parts of the UK and southeast Ireland. Staying largely dry, fine and cold over much of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs of 1 to 5C.

Tuesday 05/01/21
Low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north keeps a cold easterly flow over the UK and Ireland. Patchy rain, sleet and snow are expected over parts of England and Wales, but particularly eastern areas, while the north stays mainly dry. Mist and fog will be a risk over northwestern areas. High temperatures of just 1 to 5C.

Wednesday 06/01/21
Some uncertainty creeps into the forecast going forward from Wednesday. Currently it looks like an area of low pressure could develop over the North Sea and push into England, southern Scotland and Wales later bringing some snow as well as sleet and rain. Drier further north and across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs of 0 to 5C for most, 6 or 7C in coastal areas.

Thursday 07/01/21
Again, there is a fair amount of uncertainty regarding Thursday's forecast. Current thoughs are that pressure may tend to drop bringing a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow to much of the UK and Ireland. Highs of 0 to 5C.

Friday 08/01/21
Confidence remains low but indications are that high pressure builds to the north bringing a mostly dry day here while low pressure continues to bring a mix of wintry precipitation to southern areas. Highs of 1 to 4C.

Saturday 09/01/21
Confidence remains low for Saturday. Pressure may lower to the north allowing wintry precipitation to develop over northern areas while high pressure slides south bringing a drier day here. Highs of just 1 to 5C.
