After a mild few days things turn much cooler into the weekend and next week

Mild for the next couple of days before conditions turn much colder at the weekend. A northeast wind develops over the UK and Ireland, getting stronger across the weekend and early in the new week. A risk of some wintry showers in the east. Winds starting to ease into the middle of week.

Saturday 28/3/20
High pressure stays west of Scotland on Saturday with a strong northeast flow affecting many areas. There will be some wintry showers in eastern Scotland and northeast England. Drier in the west and brighter with sunny spells. Feeling cold for all in that wind. A few showers in western Ireland, but mostly dry here. Highs around 5 to 8C, but feeling much colder in the wind.


Sunday 29/3/20
Cold again on Sunday thanks to the strong northeast wind. There will be wintry showers on easter coasts, a few penetrating further inland over East Anglia and the southeast. Fair in western areas with more sunshine. Highs around 5 to 8C, but feeling much colder again in the wind.
 


Monday 30/3/20
Feeling raw on Monday with a northeast wind blowing wintry showers over eastern coasts and hills and into the eastern Midlands and southeast England. Western parts will be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 9C but feeling cold again in the wind.
 


Tuesday 31/3/20
Staying cold into Tuesday with a weak front brings some cloud and wintry showers across northern England the Midlands and southwest England. Drier and brighter in East Anglia and southeast England. Dry and chilly in Scotland and Ireland with broken cloud and sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 8C.


Wednesday 1/4/20
High pressure extends through the UK. Broken cloud with some sunny spells for many. There will be some showers in the far south of England, as well as parts of northern England. Highs at 6 to 8C.

Thursday 2/4/20
Staying cold on Thursday. Snow showers in northern Scotland, scattered around western and eastern coasts. A few showers over Wales and East Anglia. Drier for other areas with sunny spells. A significant wind-chill. Highs at 2 to 5C.
