Turning much colder in the east with wintry showers on coasts, best sunshine in west

A mild few days ahead with good spells of sunshine for many areas. Then turning much colder into the weekend and next week. Increased winds in southern areas will brings some wintry showers, mostly in eastern areas. Drier and brighter to the west.

Friday 27/3/20
High pressure west of Scotland on Friday. A northeast flow affecting many areas. There will be good spells of sunshine and it should be dry in most of England and Wales. A weak front continues to affect Scotland and central Ireland, bringing a few spots of rain here. Drier and brighter in northwest Scotland. Highs around 12C in central and southern areas, 8C in northern Scotland.

Saturday 28/3/20
A colder day as the winds turn to the north or northeast. There will be showers, these wintry around northern and eastern coasts and hills. Best of the sunshine in the west, although some showers here too. Highs at 6 to 9C.

 
 
 

Sunday 29/3/20
Staying cold through Sunday. The northeast wind remains strong with further wintry showers across eastern and central areas. Best of the sunshine and drier weather will be to the west. Highs at 5 to 7C.

 
 
 

Monday 30/3/20
Staying cold on Monday. High pressure west of Scotland. Wintry showers in the east and pushing inland too. Drier ot the west with bright or Highs near 4 to 8C.

Tuesday 31/3/20
Staying cold in the south with a stiff northeast breeze. Some showers in eastern areas, but drier to the west. Fair in Scotland, northern and western parts of Ireland. Highs at 4 to 7C.

Wednesday 1/4/20
High pressure remains on Wednesday. Staying dry with sunny spells. A risk of some showers in the south. Highs at 6 to 8C.
