Dry start but then rain into the west later
Good morning,
Cloud and rain in Ireland, Wales and southwest England on Wednesday morning. More central and eastern areas will be drier with broken cloud. The best of any sunshine should be in eastern Scotland.
Rain and stronger winds move through Wales and into much of the rest of England and Wales on Wednesday afternoon, the rain heavy at times in Wales and northern England. Rain could turn to sleet or snow over the Pennines and the hills of Wales, especially this evening as cooler air arrives. Overnight the rain could be heavy in parts of the Midlands and northern England. becoming windy for many tii with further sleet and snow possible over the Welsh hills and the Pennines. Staying drier in Scotland and much of Ireland tonight.
