Improving later next week after a mixed start
A mixed start to the week with some rain at times. Temperatures slowly rising. Improving later in the week as higher pressure builds. It will become dry with good spells of sunshine, although nights may be chilly.

Wednesday 1/5/19 A cold front moves eastwards through the country on Wednesday. This is going to be bringing showery rain with it, a few heavier bursts in places and perhaps even an odd crack of thunder. Turning brighter in the west with sunny spells but although the risk of some showers in Ireland. Temperatures at a mild 20C in southeast England, but a cooler 12 to 14C in the west.
Thursday 2/5/19 A more north to northwesterly flow developing through Thursday. This brings sunny spells and showers, most of the showers affecting north and eastern areas. The best sunshine west and south. Highs at 11 to 17C.
Friday 3/5/19 A cool day in the northerly winds on Friday. There will be sunny spells but also some showers in northern and eastern areas. A cold front may clear southern coasts in the morning, giving some showery rain here for a time. Tops at 6C in northern Scotland, 13C in southern England.
Saturday 4/5/19 Higher pressure on Saturday bringing a fair day. It may be a chilly start but then most of the day will be dry with good spells of sunshine. Highs around 12 to 16C.
Sunday 5/5/19 The area of high pressure continues to bring fair weather on Sunday. It may be a chilly start again, although with a few showers in the east. Highs near 12 to 16C.
Monday 6/5/19 Little change through Monday as pressure remains high. There will be lots of dry weather and sunny spells but also the risk of some showers in the east. Temperatures at 14 to 19C.
