An unsettled spell of weather is set to continue

Unsettled conditions affecting the UK and Ireland are set to continue through the coming week. It will feel rather cool for many as an easterly wind sets up this weekend and there will be frequent showers around.

Saturday 06/04/19
An easterly airflow on Saturday will bring a mostly overcast day for the UK and Ireland. A band of showers will ease southeastward across Scotland and the north of England, edging into Northern Ireland later while more persistent rain is likely for southeastern Scotland, Fife, and the northeast of England. Showers may develop later in the day in the southwest. Staying mostly dry for Wales, southern and central England, northern Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 7 to 14C.


Sunday 07/04/19
The easterly airflow seems set to continue through Sunday. A band of scattered showers with move southwestward through southwest England and Ireland through the day. Behind this, over western parts of the UK, will be a mostly dry and bright day. It will be overcast with a chance of a few light spots of rain or drizzle along eastern coastal regions of the UK. High temperatures at 7 to 11C.


Monday 08/04/19
An area of low pressure may affect the southeastern UK through Monday. This could bring heavy bursts of rain to eastern parts of England and scattered showers into eastern Scotland, central parts of England and eastern Wales through the afternoon. For northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland it will be a mostly dry day with varying amounts of cloud. Highs at 7 to 12C.


Tuesday 09/04/19
Low pressure tracking westward across southern England on Tuesday will bring heavy bursts of rain to northeastern England and southeastern Scotland and moderate rain to much of Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales, southwestern Scotland and into central and western parts of England too. Staying mostly dry and bright in the far southeast and north. High temperatures at 5 to 12C.


Wednesday 10/04/19
Easterly winds continue through Wednesday and it will be a rather wet day for much of England, Wales and Ireland. Elsewhere showers will ease through the morning leaving a mostly overcast but dry afternoon. High temperatures at 6 to 12C.

Thursday 11/04/19
An easterly flow brings a mostly overcast day. Showers for England, Wales and Ireland. Drier, but still cloudy, for much of Northern Ireland and Scotland. High temperatures at 5 to 10C.
