Temperatures rising next week, mainly dry, breezy at times in the south

High pressure stays in control during the coming week. It is going to be cold over the next couple of days, but as the winds slightly change direction during the week temperatures will be rising. There will be lots of dry weather around and there wil be sunny spells to, the best in the west. Breezy in the south at times too.

Tuesday 16/4/19
A front lying north to south through the UK on Tuesday. This brings cloud and rain in western England, western and southern Scotland and Wales. Murky and misty for many with hill fog. Eastern parts of England should be dry, as will be parts of eastern Scotland. Brighter in Ireland with sunny spells developing, the best in the west. A scattered of showers here. Cool in Scotland and northern England at 9 to 11C, milder in the south at 11 to 16C.

Wednesday 17/4/19
High pressure over Scandinavia again on Wednesday. The easterly flow persists allowing some some patchy rain in the southwest of the UK and Ireland. Dry elsewhere with some sunshine too. Highs at 12 to 18C.

 
 
 

Thursday 18/4/19
A fair day for Thursday with high pressure staying over Scandinavia. There will be good spells of sunshine and it should feel warm in many areas too. Highs at 12C on eastern coasts to 19C in the sunnier west.

 
 
 

Good Friday 19/4/19
Pressure stays high on Friday. An easterly flow for England and Wales bringing sunny spells and dry weather. Fair too in Scotland and most of Ireland, although there is a risk of broken cloud on eastern coasts. Highs at 12C on eastern coasts, 18 to 20C in western areas.

Saturday 20/4/19
High pressure over Scandinavia with a brisk east wind in the south. Sunny spells and feeling mild, dry too. More sunshine further north with the best in western Scotland. Eastern coasts may have low cloud from time to time. Highs at 13 to 19C.

Easter Sunday 21/4/19
Pressure stays high on Easter Sunday. It will be a fair day with good spells of sunshine. Some showers may affect southern areas. Highs at 12 to 18C.
