More unsettled with rain and showers, cooler temperatures for all

The weather will be turning more unsettled through this week. Low pressure pushes bands of rain and showers northwards and eastwards, some of the showers will be heavy and thundery at times. It is going to become cooler too and breezy at times.

Thursday 25/04/19
A large area of low pressure remains west of Ireland on Thursday. Further fronts push northwards over Ireland and the UK taking rain with them. Showers following the fronts, some of which may be heavy and thundery in nature. High temperatures at 10 to 15C.

Friday 26/04/19
Low pressure stays to the northwest on Friday. Heavy showers and rain will be passing from southwest to northeast. Highs in the east at 13 to 16C. Cooler in the west at 9 to 11C.

 
 
 

Saturday 27/04/19
A deep area of low pressure passes to the north of the UK and Ireland on Saturday taking heavy rain, strong winds and showers with it. Remaining mixed throughout the day. Temperatures at a chilly 8 to 13C.

 
 
 

Sunday 28/04/19
Low pressure again brings showers, heavy and thundery at times, most in the west and south. Some sunny spells developing in the north. High temperatures at 10 to 16C.

Monday 29/04/19
The flow may turn to a colder northerly flow on Monday. Further showers and periods of rain pushing south through northern and eastern areas, although the mild air may hold in the south. Highs at 10C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Tuesday 30/04/19
Tuesday may see a northerly flow continue bringing a brighter day with a chance of showers, especially for north-facing coasts and hills. High temperatures at 8 to 16C.
