High pressure stays to the northeast for the week ahead, maintaining a cool easterly weather pattern. Variable cloud will come in from the east, but it will be dry much of the time. Overnight, notable frosts are possible in sheltered spots.

Variable cloud in central-eastern areas, perhaps drizzly showers on the east coast. Sunniest skies in the west and northwest. A cool easterly breeze in southern England. Locally warm in northwest Scotland with foehn effect over the hills. A frosty start inland. Highs 8 to 12C, locally 15C in far north of Scotland.

Saturday 13/04/19
Little change to the overall pattern, with most places dry. A little drizzly rain or brief showers may come onto east & southeastern coasts. Sunny skies and warmest temperatures again best in the west & northwest. Widespread frost at first. Highs 8 to 13C.


 

Sunday 14/04/19
Fairly cloudy skies, with patchy rain possible in the east. Sunshine focused toward the west. Some rain for the west of Ireland. Cool in the east or southeasterly breeze. Frost fairly widely at dawn again. Highs 8 to 13C.

A strengthening wind is possible, and again feeling cool. Generally dry, with rather cloudy skies, and a little drizzly rain in the east. A risk of some rain coming into the far southwest. Highs 8 to 13C.

Not much changing, with possible rain toward the southwest, and a little drizzle in the east, and best sun in the northwest. Slightly warmer, highs 9 to 14C.

Wednesday 17/04/19
East or southeast winds are likely to continue. Variable cloud, patchy rain mostly east. Dry and bright west. Highs 10 to 14C.
