Cool in the east wind with showers at times, best sunshine in the west
An easterly flow is going to be dominating through the course of the week. This brings cool days with showers at times, most in the east. There will be days when the wind turns to the southeast and these days will be milder. Best of the sunshine in western areas. A tendency towards rain later in Ireland, Wales and southern England.

Monday 8/4/19 The easterly flow continues on Monday. A front gives cloud and outbreaks of rain across northern and eastern England as a second front give showery rain in southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The best of the dry weather on central and northern Scotland where there will be good spells of sunshine. Broken cloud and some sunny spells elsewhere. Tops at 9 to 17C.
Tuesday 9/4/19 Easterly winds persist on Tuesday. A front gives some rain in England and Wales, most in central and southern areas. Drier and brighter to the north, especially in the northwest. Highs at 7C on cloudier eastern coasts, 13C in the sunnier west.
Wednesday 10/4/19 High pressure remains north of the UK with low pressure to the south. An easterly flow allows for some cloud in the south with showers over hills. Brighter to the north, some showers on eastern coasts. Highs at 7 to 12C.
Thursday 11/4/19 High pressure to the north and low pressure to the south again on Thursday. Some cloud and showers may affect eastern coasts. Western and southern areas may be drier and brighter with some sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Friday 12/4/19 Fronts may bring some rain into southern Ireland, Wales and southern England on Friday as pressure falls here. Drier and brighter to the north and east with sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 12C.
Saturday 13/4/19 Outbreaks of rain in Ireland, England and Wales. Drier in northern England and Scotland with some sunny spells. Highs at 7 to 14C.
