Morning Call - April 30, 2021
Sunshine
Showers

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 30th April 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

After a dry and fine start to the day for many, widespread showers will develop through the afternoon. Some of these will be locally heavy and thundery. The heaviest downpours expected over the southwest UK, southern Ireland and over hilltops. Feeling chilly.

Good Morning,

A chilly but bright and dry start for many this morning. Any isolated mist or fog patches should lift quickly. Showers affecting northeastern coasts and hills. Through the morning these showers become heavier and spread a little further inland.

Showers continue to become more widespread and heavier into Friday afternoon with the odd rumble of thunder here and there too. The heaviest showers expected over southwestern parts of the UK, across the Pennines and over the southernmost counties of Ireland as well. Feeling chilly.

Showers tend to fade into the evening though the odd one or two will linger - mainly over coastal areas to the north. A dry and bright end to the day elsewhere.

Have a good day!

Claire
