A cloudier day and feeling much colder

A much colder day ahead with a fair amount of cloud in many areas. You will notice the breezy in the south of the UK today, with temperatures at least 10C lower than they were yesterday. Best of the sunshine this morning in western parts of England and Wales.

Scotland will have plenty of sunshine and should be staying dry. There will be little change into this afternoon with further sunshine. Ireland should be dry too with long periods sunshine.

Clear skies overnight leading to temperatures falling sharply and a frost forming, especially in western areas.
