Morning Call - April 10, 2021
Wintry showers
Rain southeast

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 10th April 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A rather cloudy day for southeastern parts of England with fronts draped along the Channel bringing outbreaks of rain here too throughout the day. A brighter day elsewhere but with wintry showers filtering in from the north. A cold day across the country with high temperatures well down on average for this stage of the year.

Good Morning,

A chilly start on Saturday with temperatures below freezing for all but the far southeast of England. A widespread frost and icy patches are therefore expected. A cloudy start for southeast and south-central England with outbreaks of rain here. Brighter elsewhere but with wintry showers affecting mainly northern and western areas.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain persist over the southeast into Saturday afternoon while the rest of the UK and Ireland is bright but cold with wintry showers. Most areas will see good spells of sunshine develop. High temperatures widely at just 5 to 7C.

Very little change into Saturday evening with cloud and patchy rain lingering to the southeast. Clearer skies elsewhere with wintry showers tending to fade.

Have a good day!

Claire
