Cold & showery
Frost tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 29th April 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cold and showery, best of any sunshine for most this morning

Another cold day for all. There will be some showers this morning affecting eastern coasts of England and eastern Scotland. Showers too in northern and eastern Ireland. Other areas will be dry with some broken cloud, the best of any sunshine i southern England and southern Ireland as well as western Scotland.

This afternoon sees heavier showers over northeastern England and eastern Scotland, a few into the Midlands and Wales as well. By late afternoon and evening the showers should be fading from eastern England. A few heavy ones for southwest Scotland and for central and eastern parts of Ireland. Good spells of sunshine remains in western Scotland.

Showers fade for most tonight. Skies become clearer and with light winds a touch of frost may form. Scattered showers will continue to feed onto northeastern coasts of England and the north and east of Scotland from time to time. A few showers too for eastern Ireland.
