Rain moving down the country

In the morning, rain will affect Ireland, Northern Ireland and many parts of Scotland moving into west Wales and northwest England by midday. Sunny spells and scattered showers to follow.

The rain goes on to affect the rest of England and Wales through the afternoon though many in the far south look remain largely dry. A drier and brighter afternoon further north and west. A breezy day for many though winds easing later.

Overnight, rain clears southeastern areas of England. A mostly dry night elsewhere with clear spells though a few scattered showers look to affect parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and around the coastal areas of Wales.
