Outbreaks of rain progressively become more widespread across the country

In the morning, cloud and outbreaks of rain will affect Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. It looks to remain dry elsewhere with the best of the sunshine in the far south of England.

The afternoon sees the cloud and outbreaks of rain continue to affect the north and west as well as advance across northern England as well as north and west Wales. Meanwhile, sunny spells look to develop across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Overnight, outbreaks of rain will affect places more widely across the the country, including parts of southern England, though many places should stay dry with clear spells developing.
