Sunny spells and warmest in west

In the morning, it will be dry, bright and sunny in the west, though variable cloud, sunny spells and possible drizzly bits in the east, particularly the southeast of England.

In the afternoon, sunny spells with variable cloud and largely dry conditions, though some scattered showers could develop, more so across central and southern England. Meanwhile, cloud thickens across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Overnight, there will be rather a lot of cloud about but also some clear spells developing. A mostly dry night, however, through the early hours the Western Isles could see some drizzly rain.
