Feeling pleasant in the sunny spells across England and Ireland

In the morning, expect cloudier skies for many though sunny spells will develop. Mostly dry across England and Wales though in the thicker cloud in the west there could be some drizzle. Expect showers to affect western Scotland into northwest England as well as Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The afternoon looks to see showers continue across north and west Scotland with some reaching northeastern areas later, as well as through parts of Ireland. Some showery rain pushing across central into some eastern areas of England too. Elsewhere, staying dry with better sunny spells.

Overnight, staying mainly dry across England and much of Wales though with cloud gradually thickening for many there could be some drizzle across a few western coasts and hills. Meanwhile, showers now merging into longer spells of rain still affect north and west Scotland, where winds will strengthen. Scattered showers across west Ireland.
