Mixed next week with rain affecting some at times while being rather breezy

Building high pressure at the weekend keeps many dry, fine and feeling warm in the sun. Next week sees mixed weather with outbreaks of rain and brisk westerly winds on a few days. High pressure perhaps again for the following weekend when temperatures look to warm back up.

Monday 9/5/22
High pressure remains to the south and east on Monday. This should bring more dry, sunny and warm weather through central and southern England, though more cloud with outbreaks of rain to the north and west progressively moving southwards. A breezy day for all. Highs at 12 to 16C for the north and west, 17 to 21C across central and southern England.
 

Tuesday 10/5/22
An area of low pressure moves in closer towards Scotland on Tuesday keeping higher pressure over France. A brisk westerly wind as well as outbreaks of rain affect many in the north and west, while many eastern areas should stay largely dry with the best of any sunny spells. Heavier rain looks to move in across northwest Ireland and west Scotland by evening. Highs at 11 to 19C.

Wednesday 11/5/22
Rain should have clearered northeast Scotland first thing on Wednesday to see a largely dry morning for many, though scattered showers in the west are likely. Meanwhile, a shallow low pushes east across southern Ireland into Wales and central and southern England bringing cloud and rain here. Sunny spells and scattered showers still further north. A cooler day for many with highs at 11 to 18C.

Thursday 12/5/22
Thursday sees a dry and fine start before cloud soon builds across the country and rain moves into western areas keeping the east largely dry thbough some showery rain will reach the east. Winds are also expected to pick up through the day. Highs at 11 to 18C.

Friday 13/5/22
Friday sees some cloud and rain affecting Scotland through the morning, before clearing and seeing a largely dry and fine day for many though showers are expected in the west. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Saturday 14/5/22
A high pressure ridge brings largely dry and fine conditions, though cloud and some patchy rain continue to affect northern regions of Scotland. Highs at a warmer 13 to 20C.
