Tuesday 5/10/21
An area of low pressure pushes across Wales and England on Tuesday sweeping a band of rain eastwards overnight Monday into Tuesday, before clearing eastern regions of central and southern England first thing. Rain continues to fall, heavy and persistent at times, through northern England into the Borders of Scotland as well as Wales into the afternoon before clearing here later. Some showery rain through southern England but plenty of dry periods too. After a chilly start it does look to be largely dry and fine across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland but with a brisk wind developing in the west. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Wednesday 6/10/21
A ridge of high pressure is to build in the west later on Tuesday and continue into Wednesday. Wednesday will be a drier day for all. Bright for a time but cloud does look to increase from the west as the day progresses. Rain could even reach western regions of Scotland as well as northwest Ireland in the afternoon. Winds strengthening in the west. A milder day with highs at 12 to 17C.

Thursday 7/10/21
On Thursday high pressure hangs on across much of the country. Rather cloudy though across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland with some patchy light rain and perhaps drizzle at times through coastal regions here but drier elsewhere. Better spells of sunshine after any initial mist and fog patches across England and Wales where it will be dry. A mild day with highs at 14 to 19C, perhaps reaching 20C across NE Scotland.

Friday 8/10/21
Friday could see high pressure win out again across much of the country, though trailing fronts will bring some rain and cloud to western Ireland as well as north and west Scotland. Dry elsewhere with the best of the sunny spells across England and Wales once any mist and fog lifts. Another mild day with highs at 14 to 20C.

Saturday 9/10/21
Saturday sees high pressure become the dominant feature across the country. Expect some mist and fog patches about, these likely to be stubborn to lift in places. It is still possible for a trailing weak front to bring cloudier skies and patchy light rain across west Ireland into northwest Scotland, but dry elsewhere with sunny spells. Highs at 14 to 19C.

Sunday 10/10/21
High pressure centres itself across Scotland on Sunday. mist and fog patches to start and some and may be stubborn to clear through the day but where it does lift expect sunshine. Dry throughout. Highs at 14 to 19C.
