Chilly for some on Friday and Saturday. Frequent spells of rain and strong winds next week but continuing mild.

A chilly start in the north on Friday and Saturday as skies clear here, then a more mobile weather pattern sets up through next week seeing cloud, frequent spells of rain and high winds. Mild conditions continue, even very mild on one or two days. Perhaps cooler towards the end of the week.

Sunday 17/10/21
Another cloudy day in a moist southwesterly flow. Drizzle and patchy rain affecting western coasts and hills with some mist and fog here too. Patchy rain also affecting southern and southeastern regions of England first thing before clearing here. More persistent rain across northern and western regions of Scotland too. Drier elsewhere. Mild for all at 13 to 17C.
 

Monday 18/10/21
A more unsettled day is likely on Monday with the strong southwest wind bringing a front eastwards across the country. Expect outbreaks of rain, heaviest and most persistent in the west while only patchy rain may affect most eastern areas. Highs at 12 to 18C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 19/10/21
We continue with this mild flow on Tuesday. A breezy day still perhaps though less so than Monday. Some showery rain affecting western areas but drier further east. Highs at a mild 14 to 19C perhaps even reaching 20C in some locations across England.

Wednesday 20/10/21
Rain overnight should clear for many first thing on Wednesday and gradually clear across Scotland in the morning to allow for a drier day. Showers though still to affect mainly southern and western regions. The best of the brightness in the east. Highs around 10 to 16C.

Thursday 21/10/21
Staying mixed to unsettled as we head into Thursday. Strong winds still affecting many regions. Rain heaviest and most persistent in the north and west as the low pressure centre moves to the north of Scotland. It could also feel chillier further north. Highs at 9 to 15C.

Friday 22/10/21
Staying mixed with some showery rain in the west but drier further east. Perhaps a cooler day than of late for many too as winds may become more northerly. Highs at 9 to 14C.
