Milder with some bright spells in the east, cloudier west, cooler by Sunday

Higher pressure is going to be building into the British Isles over the coming days. This brings drier and milder weather for a time with some decent spells of sunshine. By Sunday cooler weather arrives in the north and this then slips southwards into the early part of next week. Limited sunshine on most days.

Saturday 9/10/21
The ridge of high pressure persists in England and Wales on Saturday. A front remains in Ireland and western Scotland with more cloud and some outbreaks of rain here. Misty and murky with some fog on hills here. The risk of some low cloud and drizzle in western England and over the hills of Wales too. Brighter spells developing in central and eastern areas of England and Wales. Another warm day with highs at 22C in sunny spells over England, 17C in the cloudier west.

Sunday 10/10/21
High pressure brings mostly dry conditions across Ireland, Wales and southern England. Some bright spells developing, although always plenty of cloud. Bits of rain across much of southern Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northern England. Brighter for northern Scotland, sunny spells and a few showers here. Highs at 19C in any brightness in the south, 12C in northern Scotland.

Monday 11/10/21
High pressure to the south bringing another rather cloudy day in much of southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Tending to be brighter in central and eastern areas with sunny spells. More coud in Scotland bringing rain here. The rain perhaps slipping into northern England. Highs at a cooler 16C in southern England, 8C in central Scotland.

Tuesday 12/10/21
A cold start to Tuesday as high pressure builds. This brings plenty of dry weather. There may be some cloud in eastern England and Scotland with a chance of a shower. More widespread cloud in western Scotland giving some patchy drizzle here. brighter for other areas with sunny spells. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Wednesday 13/10/21
High pressure builds over the south of the British Isles on Wednesday. A warm front passes east through Scotland bringing cloud and periods of rain, most in the north. Western coasts of England, Wales and Ireland bringing low cloud and some drizzle. Brighter in eastern and southern areas. Highs at 13 to 17C.

Thursday 14/10/21
High pressure remains to the south on Thursday. A southwest flow bringing plenty of cloud with some outbreaks of drizzle and low cloud over western coasts and hills. Tending to be drier in the east, a few bright spells developing here. Highs at 12 to 15C.
