Morning Call - October 09, 2021
Another balmy day
Rain for Scotland again

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 9th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Rain drifts into northwest England and Wales

Good morning,

It's another mild day ahead as a south to southwesterly airflow prevails.

Early murky conditions will tend to break up, although areas of cloud will persist through the day for some across England and Wales. A chance of a very localised shower forming.

Rain in Scotland and Ireland will drift eastwards, fading to drizzle and then some brighter skies in the west as a front finally clears.

Rain and drizzle turns more persistent in the afternoon for Cumbria and Wales, encroaching eastwards with time along with thickening cloud. This rain but fades out to just patchy drizzle later in the evening.

Today's top temperatures reaching 20C again in sunnier areas of England, 17C toward the north and west, starting to turn fresher in western Scotland at 14C.

Have a great day.
Garry
