An unsettled day for Halloween with rain clearing to blustry showers
A wet start in the west with the rain tracking eastwards through the morning. Drier and brighter weather to follow, although showers are expected. Scotland will see rain initally across the southwest then gradually push northwards. Largely dry and bright across Northern Ireland.
The afternoon will be drier and brighter for most across England, Wales and parts of southern Scotland as rain clears here. Winds are brisk with frequent, heavy showers affecting western areas still, some likely to push more centrally. Showers or longer spells of rain affecting parts of Ireland with some showers now across Northern Ireland.
Overnight, rain will continue across northern and western Scotland pushing back in across Northern Ireland. Frequent and at times heavy showers affecting western regions elsewhere. Largely dry further east. Longer spells of rain at times across northern England and perhaps through the far southern coastal regions of SE England. A windy night for most.
