Morning Call - October 06, 2021
A bright start
More cloud in west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 6th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A brighter day for many, but becoming cloudier in the west with rain Ireland and western Scotland

Yesterdays winds will be blowing themselves out over eastern coasts at first this morning. Brighter weather wil be quickly arriving here, and the east of England and Scotland will be seeing the best of the sunshine through today. Elsewhere it should be a fair start to the morning with sunny spells, although already cloud is increasing in Ireland with some drizzle through the morning in western and northern areas.

This afternoon sees a cloudy day in Ireland and most of western and southwest Scotland. Mist and fog patches slipping onto the coasts too. Most other areas will be dry although with cloud increasing in much of the west of the UK. It should be feeling less cool, especially in the brighter weather in eastern areas.

Tonight is cloudy and mild for most. Some mist and fog patches affecting Scotland, northwest England and much of the western coasts of Wales, England and Ireland. Heavier rain could trouble western Scotland.
