Morning Call - October 07, 2021
Misty, damp west
Warmer, brighter east

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 7th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Dull, misty, damp west, but brighter and warmer in the east

A broad, mild southwesterly flow afecting the whole of the UK and Ireland today. There will be quite a bit of cloud as a result of the amount of moisture being brought in from off the Atlantic Ocean by the wind. Some low cloud and drizzle affecting western and southern coasts, a few bright spells developing inland. More persistent rain in western Scotland and western Ireland.

This afternoon sees little change with low cloud and some drizzle, mist and fog over western and southern coasts and hills. The rain continues in western Scotland and the west of Ireland. A few bright spells developing in central and eastern areas, feeling warm in these places too.

This evening and overnight is mostly dry for England and Wales. Further drizzle and mist over the western and southern coasts again. Wetter in central and southern Scotland as well as much of Ireland. Mild for all.
