Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 26th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Drizzly rain north & west, mainly dry south

Good morning,

A strong and very mild southwesterly airflow affects the British Isles today.

A warm front passes eastwards across northern areas this morning bringing outbreaks of rain to Scotland and northern England. Staying drizzly for west facing areas much of the day. A cold front follows later into western Scotland with heavy rain setting in widely.

Mainly dry throughout the day for the Midlands, the south and southeast with a lot of cloud and some sun.

Windy for most places, gales around coasts and hills in the north and west.

Today's top temperatures up to 16 to 18C in central, south and eastern areas, around 13 to 15C north and west.

Have a great day.
Garry
