Showery
Bright start in east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 4th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Wettest in the west

Good morning,

The new week begins on a cool and showery note, with more heavy rain ahead on Tuesday, then things are improving and warming up as high pressure moves in.

For today, it's a bright start in eastern counties, but there's plenty of showers in the west, with heavy bursts merging into longer spells of rain. Showers will become more widespread through the day.

A front is also affecting the far southeast this morning with rain locally persistent. Another developing weather system moves in from the southwest tonight with heavy rain spreading across most of England & Wales.

A southwesterly breeze will feel cool, with today's top temperatures typically 13 to 16C.

Have a great day.
Garry
