Morning Call - October 20, 2021
Rain, showers & sunshine
Much colder tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 20th October 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain for some, brighter southern Scotland and parts of southern England, turning much colder tonight

Another mild and breezy day across much of central and southern England and Wales. Some sunshine over southern England, although an area of rain and showers is affecting southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. An area of rain is going to be moving into the far north of Scotland with cooler air here and across northern England too.

This afternoon sees the showery rain clearing from eastern England, although damp for a time in northern England, Some decent spells of sunshine in central and eastern areas as well as through southern Scotland and much of Ireland. More persistent rain arrives in the far southwest later. More rain in northern and central Scotland.

This evening is wet in central and southern Scotland with much colder air behind this area of rain. Further rain too in southern England, some of this heavy. The colder air pulnges south into much of northern England, Ireland and Wales by morning, then clearing southern areas later. A windy night too.
