Monday 25/05/20 High pressure extends across Britain from the south, producing a dry and warm day for many places, with broken cloud and sunny spells, the best of these in the south and east. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. For Scotland and Ireland, a southwesterly breeze will be stronger, with cloudier skies and a risk of patchy rain in western areas. Temperatures generally up to 17 to 22C, and locally 25C in the Home Counties.
Tuesday 26/05/20 High pressure influences the southern half of Britain, keeping things generally dry and warm with sunshine. Weak fronts passing across northern areas on a westerly breeze produce thicker cloud toward the west & northwest, with a little rain locally, but amounts small. Temperatures ranging from 15C in the northwest, to 22 to 24C in central & southern England.
Wednesday 27/05/20 High pressure stays in charge, with dry weather prevailing for many. Remnants of weak fronts may give some cloudier periods for northern and western districts, whilst southern and eastern parts will fare best for sunshine. Light winds and coastal sea breeezes. A little patchy rain or drizzle may come into western Scotland and Ireland. Highs 16 to 24C.
Thursday 28/05/20 A cloudier day is likely, with a risk of some rain moving in from the west as fronts push in from the Atlantic. Some uncertainty about how far south & east this will spread. Likely to be wettest in the west. Light to moderate west or southwesterly winds. Highs 16 to 22C.
Friday 29/05/20 A general westerly flow is likely, with variable cloud and a few local showers, but many places are likely to be often dry. Windier in northern Scotland, with rain more frequent at times. Highs 15 to 21C.
Saturday 30/05/20 Low pressure to the northwest may bring some rain again to western Scotland, and perhaps a few showers elsewhere, but many southern and eastern districts should stay mainly dry. Highs 16 to 23C.
