Tuesday 19/05/20
Remnants of fronts toward the northwest bring cloud and patchy rain or drizzle for western Scotland, Ireland and locally in northwest England, but tending to fizzle out here. Cloudy skies in northern and western areas, but sunshine breaking through across central and eastern counties where it will feel increasingly warm and quite humid. Light southwesterlies. Highs at 15 to 23C, warmest in the Home Counties.

Wednesday 20/05/20
A gentle southerly airflow will maintain warm and dry conditions into midweek with plenty of sunshine across England & Wales. Cloudier for Scotland and Ireland, with a little drizzly rain locally, but amounts small. Light winds and a coastal sea breeze in the south and east. High temperatures range from 16 to 24C.

Thursday 21/05/20
A warm southerly flow continues, but a zone of instability around Biscay may see thundery rain encroach toward Britain and Ireland from the south-southwest later in the day. Dry and sunny prior to this with cloud gradually building. Highs at 17 to 25C for England, Wales and Scotland, just 13 to 15C for Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Friday 22/05/20
Detail is uncertain at this lead time, but areas of thundery rain may well extend across central parts of Britain, possibly giving slow-moving heavy rain over a few hours. Temperatures lower than on previous days with more cloud cover. Highs at just 14 to 20C.

Saturday 23/05/20
Residual showery rain is possible especially to the northwest, with a fresher feel to things overall. Sunny spells and broken cloud with the best of the sun to the east. Highs 13 to 20C.

Sunday 24/05/20
A southwesterly flow may bring showers and outbreaks of rain to western parts of the UK and Ireland. Drier and brighter to the east with highs ranging from 15 to 19C.
