Wednesday
Feeling colder on Wednesday as Arctic air drains through the British Isles with a widespread frost to start. There will be snow showers around the west, north and east of Scotland. Some clipping eastern coasts of England too. Eastern Ireland could see a wintry showers and a few showers could clip northern and western Wales. For most areas the day will be dry with some good spells of sunshine. Highs at 3 to 5C but factoring in the wind chill it will feel even colder.


Wednesday Night
Overnight, many will be dry and very cold with a widespread hard frost expected to develop. Showers continue to brush many coasts with snow showers across northern Scotland. More persistent rain, sleet and snow could move into the very far north later. Lows 0 to -4C.
 


Thursday
A cold northerly flow affecting most of the country through Thursday with widespread frost to start the day. This brings some snow showers to western, northern and eastern coasts, the most frequent of them in Scotland. One or two showers inland, but for most the day is bright and dry with some sunny spells. Temperatures reaching 3 or 4C for most.
 


Friday
An area of low pressure will be east of Scotland on Friday, slipping slowly south through the North Sea. This brings another cold day with snow showers affecting many coasts. Most places should stay dry with the best sunshine in more southern areas. Highs at 2 to 4C but perhaps to 7C in the far southwest.
