Cloud in the far south of England on Wednesday. Some sleet in the far southwest but dry for other areas although very cold. Sunnier skies from central Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia northwards. Remaining very cold here. Some cloud in northern Scotland and a few snow showers affecting northeastern Scotland and the eastern coasts of England. Little changes during the day with temperatures at 1 to 3C.


Wednesday Night
Cloudier skies in the far south of England tonight. Other areas will have clear skies, although some snow showers in northern Scotland. Dry for most with a widespread, severe frost. Lows of -2 to -10C.

 
 
 


Thursday
Cloud affects the far south of England at first on Thursday. For most other areas a widespread severe frost will occur in the morning but it will be dry with lots of sunshine. Some cloud in northern Scotland with a few snow showers here. Staying dry into the afternoon with more sunshine and remaining very cold for all despite the sunshine. A few snow showers for northern and western coasts of Ireland. Highs at 1 to 3C.


Friday
Higher pressure builds in southern England with a weak front moving into Scotland on Friday. Some areas of snow afecting Scotland and the north and west coasts of Ireland. Scattered snow showers may affect western coasts of England and Wales too. Elsewhere it is dry with some freezing fog although this slowly clearing. Then drier with some bright or sunny spells developing in the rest of England and Wales. Drier in northern Scotland, although soe snow in Orkney and Shetland. Highs 0 to 3C.
