Very cold

Monday
A widespread frost to start Monday morning. There will be some snow showers for northern and eastern Scotland as well as parts of southeast England where some accumulations may occur. Freezing fog patches in parts of the Midlands and northern England. These slowly lifting and then most places dry into the afternoon with some sunny spells. The best sunshine in Scotland. A very cold day, highs at 1 to 3C for most, closer to 6C in the far west of Cornwall.


Monday Night
Freezing fog patches developing again in more central and northern areas. A few snow flurries along eastern coasts. Snow showers too in northwest Scotland. Dry for most though and with lows of -4 to -7C.

 
 
 


Tuesday
A light wind flow again in Tuesday. Mist and freezing fog patches may affect much of the country. Increasing cloud in more southern areas may bring some light snow to the far south of Ireland, some rain and sleet could affect the far southwest of England as a front approaches. Snow showers in northern Scotland, Mostly dry for other areas and where fog clears there will be some sunny spells. Always more cloud in the south. Feeling bitterly cold at 1 to 3C, 7C in the far southwest of Cornwall.


Wednesday
Further snow showers in northern Scotland on Wednesday, a few of them affecting eastern coasts. Cloudier in the far south of England and the chance of some sleet along the far south coast. Most other areas stay very cold with some freezing fog patches. These clearing to leave sunny spells. Highs at -1 to 1C, although to 6C in the far southwest.
