Wednesday
A wet Wednesday morning in Ireland, Wales and southwest England as fronts push east. Drier in eastern areas at first but the rain soon reaching here. The rain may become heavy at times through the morning and afternoon with winds reaching gale forces across many areas of England and Wales. Things turning more showery through Ireland in the afternoon with the rain easing in western England and Wales. Snow will affect the hills of Scotland. Generally a rather damp and windy day for all. Highs at 4C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.

Wednesday Night
A windy night with frequent, heavy showers affecting western coasts and hills once rain in the east has cleared. The showers persistent and falling as snow over the hills of Scotland. Drier for inland and eastern areas, although even here an isolated showers may occur. Lows at 2 to 5C.
 

Thursday
A windy day for Thursday with low pressure north of Scotland. Showers affecting northern and western coasts and hills, some of them heavy. Snow showers overe the hills of Scotland. Drier for other areas with some bright or sunny spells, the best in the east and south, although even here there will be some showers. More persistent rain reaching southwest Ireland again later in the day. Winds to gale force in the north and west, although tending to ease in the afternoon. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Friday
Wet and windy on Friday as further fronts pass eastwards through the British Isles. Low pressure close to Scotland. There will be snow over the hills of Scotland with rain heavy in places in the morning as winds gust to 50 to 60mph. Becoming a little brighter from the west with some blustery showers, especially affecting western coasts and hills, some of them heavy and thundery. Scattered showers in the east. Some of the showers merging to longer spells of rain in the west. Highs at a cool 4 to 6C as rain clears, but 10 to 12C in the morning as the rain passes through.
